Tiger Muskie

So my father in law saw the other painting I did of a fish on a piece of wood so he said he really would like one too but of a tiger muskie on a piece of lumber he had lying around the garage. It was actually pretty hard because the wood was not sanded (to keep the rustic look), so getting smooth paint lines was a challenge. The end of the wood actually had a natural curve that I used to look like part of the fish's tail. Also the top of the lumber had a natural dark strip that I chose to be the length of the fish and to also look like a shadow. Oh and no the tree and grass is not apart of the painting. Its just resting on the deck railing outside. :)

More Nursery Paintings!

Another person asked me to do some nursery paintings and I was more than happy to do them! My friend said I could do whatever I wanted for one of them so I decided to do some cute owls and I actually used scrapbook paper for the wings and stars. I just cut out the shapes and applied them with mod podge. The top painting is definitely my favorite and I feel like Im going to do more like this. I never thought Id prefer to do kids paintings but now that Ive done a few Im starting to want to do more and more! Again, Im sorry for the horrible picture quality, I have yet to get a new camera so my crappy cell phone is going to have to work until then.

I painted these three paintings for my sister in law's nursery.
I also attached some black ribbon at the top to use to hang them.

Brown Trout

A while ago my dad had asked me to do a painting of a brown trout but I never got around to it. So when I was racking my brain thinking of a good christmas gift I thought this would be perfect! So I bought a wood slab from Hobby Lobby and used acrylic paint.
